Syllabus Creation

The UBC Okanagan Centre for Teaching and Learning invites you to join us for a series of online workshops.

This workshop will introduce the building blocks of the course syllabus in relation to the course outline and program objectives. The syllabus provides key information on requirements, standards and expectations as well as policies and resources. We will consider ways in which the syllabus can adhere to university guidelines while also being student-centered.

Discussions to include: How might we produce an informative and engaging syllabus? How can the syllabus serve as an effective tool of communication? How might the syllabus assist your learners in mapping their progress through the course?
