Event Series Event Series: Volunteer Patient Orientation Session

Volunteer Patient Orientation Session

October 28 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Doctor examining patient

The Southern Medical Program is hosting a series of orientation sessions for new volunteer patients.

Volunteer patients allow medical students to gain confidence and competence by practicing communication and clinical skills in a realistic setting. Volunteer Patients participate as themselves and represent their authentic medical history, whether healthy or living with an illness or chronic condition.

The orientation session will provide a brief overview of the program and the requirements for volunteer patients. All ages and backgrounds are welcome. Sessions typically last two hours. Registration is required.
