Wellness Wednesdays: Birth Control Basics
September 28 at 12:00 pm - 2:00 pmFree
Join us on Wednesdays in PICNIC (UNC 122B) from 12-2 pm for drop-in health education events hosted by your Student Wellness Nurses.
There will be a new health topic each week! This is a great way to learn and ask questions in a casual setting. There will be opportunities to win prizes!
These events are all about building presence, increasing health literacy, breaking down barriers and making health care on campus more accessible to students.
*Please note that this time is designated for education and linking you to resources. If you have any personal health concerns you would like to discuss, please make an appointment at the UBCO Student Wellness Clinic. Visit our website for more information: Student Wellness (ubc.ca)
This Week’s Topic: Birth Control Basics
Did you know that the birth control pill is only one of the many types of contraception available in Canada? Contraception is not one size fits all! Stop by and learn about the different options available. We can give you an overview of the basics so that you feel empowered on how to make decisions about your body.
We will have IUDs, implants, rings, patches & oral contraception for you to check out.
