If you have submitted an event to our website, there is the opportunity have it featured — a special highlighted presentation within the event list view (see below).
University Relations selects featured events on an ongoing basis. Featured events are high-profile, signature events that raise the profile of the campus and have broad appeal to a number of audiences, particularly audiences off-campus (eg. Distinguished Speaker Series, UBC Connects etc.).
Due to the volume of events in the calendar we may not be able to feature your event. Requests may be sent to email@example.com.

social media & Facebook Events
Once your event is published live, you can copy the URL into a social media post to reach followers. If you have a featured image in your event, Facebook pulls the image into the post automatically. We are investigating integration with Twitter.
For important, signature events, you may also create a Facebook event — it’s a great way to get extra eyes from your social followers.
Note: We don’t recommend creating a new Facebook or social account if you don’t already have one; see if an appropriate preferred UBCO social media channel will create a Facebook event on your behalf.
Digital Screens & Posters
UBCO digital screens and traditional, paper-based posters are powerful and highly visible channels to promote your events to students, faculty and staff. For professionally designed digital screens or posters, contact your designated communicator (if applicable). If your department does not have a communicator, send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
