Art on the Line

The Art on the Line Gala and Fundraiser celebrates the wealth of local talent in our community, both on-campus and off-campus. This event features over 100 works of art from a one-of-a-kind juried exhibition that is available by donation to raise funds for the UBC Okanagan art and media students.
Artwork are collected from students, local artists, alumni, and faculty/staff. Proceeds from the evening will help support our student community through:
- the Visual Arts Course Union,
- the 2022 BFA graduate exhibition and catalogue,
- the visiting artist program,
- the fine arts student travel grants, and
- local non-profit Cool Arts Society, which provides art opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.
One Arts Patron ticket admits two people to the gala event and guarantees that you will take one work of art home from the collection (determined throughout the evening raffle). Even the last ticket drawn has a choice from more than 25 works, which creates an atmosphere of suspense and entertainment.
The Arts Supporter Tickets guarantees one person entrance to the event and a chance to receive an art gift or a donated prize from local merchant supporters at the end of the evening.
Fine Arts instructor David James Doody is the MC and host for the evening that features a beautiful selection of original art, fine food, refreshments and just a touch of suspense.
