
Contract Grading

This year, the “Learner-Centred Design & Assessment” Studio session of the Course (re)Design Intensive workshop will discuss a pedagogical approach called Contract Grading and will contextualize it within the research and practice of equitable and liberatory grading methods.
Approaches to contract grading and related methods include: aggregate-model contracts, project-focused contracts, ungrading, specifications grading, and others. Participants will have the opportunity to revise their own syllabi or assignments with a contract-grading approach and will be provided with sample materials and resources.
No prior knowledge required. You can attend this session even if you have not registered for other Course (re)Design Intensive workshop sessions.
