EMERGE Career Week – Conversations Matter

Join us for a 90-minute structured, supportive and fun virtual experience. This community project connects like-minded individuals – from anywhere – to engage and encourage. Isolation is not healthy. Staying connected is a biological requirement. Conversations Matter connects people to have meaningful conversations, gain clarity about their choices, and create hope about what’s next.

EMERGE is a week-long event featuring different workshops, speakers, coaching sessions, and networking opportunities intended to support Black students and students of color while they navigate the job market. The aim of this event is to understand the intricacies of working in the world as a person of colour, and provide solutions to unique challenges that may present themselves to people within this community. Join a network of peers and receive targeted guidance how to emerge and advocate for yourself and others while job hunting.

All EMERGE sessions are free for UBCO students, but registration is required.
