Engineering Capstone Project Showcase & Competition

Students, staff and faculty at UBC, and members of the Kelowna community are invited to celebrate the innovation, creativity, and intellect of UBC Okanagan School of Engineering’s brightest minds.

In the pinnacle of their academic journey, final-year students in the Applied Science program have partnered with engineering industry leaders to solve real-world problems spanning the areas of advanced manufacturing, biocompatible systems, complex systems, infrastructure and sustainability. These pioneering projects will be on display for guests to discover and enjoy at the KF Aerospace Centre for Excellence.

A distinguished panel of judges, comprising of industry leaders and esteemed engineering faculty, will then evaluate these projects. Brace yourself for the moment of triumph as the winners are announced at the event’s grand finale!

Everyone is invited to check out these innovative student projects, and tour the host facility that includes an interactive aviation exhibit and historic aircraft collection.

Plan Ahead!

TAKE THE SHUTTLE

A shuttle service will be available to transport students, staff, faculty and other guests from the UBC Okanagan campus to the KF Centre for Excellence. View the shuttle bus schedule and pick-up and drop-off points, here.

Note: If you plan on parking at the UBC Campus, then taking the shuttle bus, you will be required to pay for short-term parking. Parking lot fees can be found here.
