Join the Society of Scholars and alumni UBC on January 25 for UBCO’s iconic Life Raft Debate. Watch professors from different faculties debate against each other to prove that their discipline is superior to all others when it comes to starting a new civilization. Debaters in this year’s Life Raft Debate imagine that they have crash-landed on a deserted island. Each professor must assert the importance of their discipline to lead a new island society and rebuild civilization. Who will be the chosen one? It’s up to the audience to decide.
This hybrid event will occur in COM 201 and over Zoom.
