Lunch and Learn: Inaugural Scholarship on Teaching and Learning

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is organizing a monthly lunch and learn that will feature a conversation with a scholar of teaching and learning (SoTL) from within the UBCO community and beyond.
The chosen scholar will share some of their SoTL research work in progress, and facilitate a conversation about their area of focus.
Hosted by UBCO’s Associate Provost, Academic Programs, Teaching and Learning, Brad Wuetherick, the inaugural Lunch and Learn will feature visiting scholar, Dr. Brett McCollum.
Topics include:
- What makes collaborative learning work from the student perspective (regardless of whether the interactions take place in person or online)?
- Dr. McMollum’s process for selecting SoTL research questions, appropriate methodologies, and some results.
- What Dr. McMollum is investigating about effective student experiences in person and online.
As lunch refreshments will be provided, please register in advance below so we can provide appropriate snacks!
