Proud Pages: Pageboy

Join the Pride Programmers for community and conversation about Canadian queer icon Elliot Page’s 2023 memoir Pageboy. The book chronicles his life as a young queer person and his journey throughout his transition.
Dinner and opportunities to win prizes are included. Those who register before Wed Dec 17 at noon will be entered into a draw to win one of two copies of Pageboy.
Those who register will be emailed a reminder, a brief community agreement, and discussion questions a week in advance of the event.
The book is available at the Okanagan Regional Libraries and is now available at the UBC Okanagan Library. Content warnings include self-harm, body dysmorphia and dysphoria, disordered eating and sexual assault. While the conversation will be primarily centred around reflections on the events of the book, drop-in participants and those who have not read the book are also welcome.
Undergraduate and graduate students welcome. Drop in anytime to the Upper Level (Senior) Collegium. Participants can expect light conversation throughout the event. There are gendered washrooms on the first, second and third floors of the University Centre building, as well as one single stall, accessible washroom on the first and second floors.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel welcome to email pride.ubco@ubc.ca. Presented in partnership with the UBC Okanagan Library.
