Public Scholars Initiative Information Session

Applications for the Public Scholars Initiative Award are now open until May 12, 2024.

The Public Scholars Initiative reimagines doctoral education in ways that facilitate purposeful social contribution, the production of new and creative forms of scholarship and dissertations, and supports graduate students’ broader career perspectives.

We are hosting an information session for 2024-2025 applicants. Information about the award, the importance of public scholarship, and the implications of the award will be presented by UBC faculty and past award recipients. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees, but virtual attendance is also welcome.

This session is intended for current or incoming doctoral students.
