The History of First Nations in British Columbia

February 28, 2020 at 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Find out why the history of First Nations in this province is unique to Canada.

This interactive workshop will look at the roles of belonging and education play in rebuilding communities that have been damaged by the Sixties Scoop and Residential School system.

Join Shuswap Nation member Dan Odenbach’s own reflection of his journey through the Sixties Scoop and how his world view has changed from being a former child in care to a UBC staff member.
