November 21, 2023 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for the first-ever Thrive research roundtable
We are bringing together some of the leading minds on mental health to deliver Creating Caring Communities: Exploring the Future of Social Wellbeing and Mental Health at UBC and Beyond.
This year’s event will discuss the intersections between mental health, social wellbeing, loneliness, and connection. Our interdisciplinary panel of researchers will share their research on critical themes of mental health and social wellbeing.
This event will be available online via Zoom for UBC Okanagan community members.
Running from November 1-30, Thrive is a time when we come together as a UBC community to learn about, talk about, and explore ways to support our mental health.
Supporting the mental health of students, faculty and staff has long been a key priority for UBC, and Mental Health and Resilience was identified as one of six priority areas for action in UBC’s Wellbeing Strategic Framework.
Thrive also aligns with Focus on People 2025 by reducing mental health stigma, creating a supportive campus culture, and ensuring that the UBC community has the resources to support their mental health as we live, learn and work well.
