Traditional Indigenous Games – Intercultural Sport Series

Join Nick, UBC Okanagan alumnus and the Okanagan Nation Alliance Traditional Game Coordinator, as he leads traditional Indigenous games. There will be a double ball stick game on Nonis Field followed by light snacks and hot chocolate in the Indigenous Centre.

This workshop offers an opportunity for students to learn about Syilx-rooted traditional games. Find out how traditional games were an integral part of ancestral ways of life. Students will learn the history, values and purposes of the games.

Cost: $5

All participants will need to show their BC Vaccine Passport to participate.

Students are encouraged to attend two or more events as part of the Intercultural Sport Series to expand their knowledge and experience and to be automatically entered to win the grand prize of a Heat Hoodie, Pendleton Towel and more.
