Book Launch: The Ethics and Economics of Liberal Democracies

September 17 at 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm

The Department of Economics, Philosophy and Political Science is hosting a launch party for the newly published book, The Ethics and Economics of Liberal Democracies: Foundations for PPE, written by Carl Cavanaugh Hodge, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at UBCO and Andrew David Irvine, a philosophy professor at UBCO.

This student social event will see EPP faculty members Manuela Ungureanu, Thomas Heilke and John Janmaat in conversation with the book’s authors.

The Ethics and Economics of Liberal Democracies: Foundations for PPE was written as a primer for courses in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). It is aimed at students who are interested in public-policy work, as well as those who are interested in both the theory and practice of democratic government.

The book launch provides an excellent opportunity for students to meet faculty members and other students. There will also be free pizza and drinks! No registration is required.
