Open Education Week

Open pedagogy applies the principles of openness to teaching and learning, giving students greater control and agency in their own education as well as aligning their work with the academic mission of the university. It combines strategies and technologies that support collaboration, co-creation, and shared knowledge. UBC Blogs and the UBC Wiki are powerful platforms for enabling students and supporting open assignments where students contribute as creators of knowledge and learning resources.

This session will explore practical approaches to using blogs and wikis for open assignments, including best practices for course and project organization and enabling student collaboration.
