February 12 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Person on stage speaking into a microhone

Are you getting ready to defend your thesis or dissertation?

Join Professor Kenney to learn and practice performance techniques that will build your confidence and prepare you for your thesis defence.

The workshop will explore dialogical performance and public speaking, and you will learn how to translate your research into accessible language and connect with your audience.

Please bring one paragraph of text that describes your research to the workshop.

Please bring any specific concerns you have to the workshop for discussion. While this session is intended for graduate students preparing for their thesis defences, it is also suitable for graduate students preparing for other presentations or the 3MT competition.
