Speaker Series: Resisting Hate with Free Speech

Join visiting author Nadine Strossen and Assistant Professor Geoffrey Sigalet (UBCO Political Science) for a “fireside chat” to discuss the challenges facing freedom of speech in Canada and the U.S.

Nadine Strossen is a Professor of Law at the New York Law School and the former president of the American Civil Liberties Union (1991-2008).

She is a prominent advocate of civil liberties and free speech and the author of numerous publications including her most recent book, Hate: Why We Should Resist It with Free Speech, Not Censorship.
