This workshop will introduce Generalized Additive Models (GAMs), which allow one to fit models that are complex and nonlinear but easily interpretable, unlike many “black-box” machine learning models.

This introductory session is the first in the Study and Stay series and will give you an overview of the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams as they are most commonly used by international students. You will begin to position yourself within the context of immigration and start to develop a plan to meet your immigration goals. We will discuss eligibility, registration, and application processes. All other sessions build on the foundational information in this session.
